Tesoro Metal Detectors - 3 Tips To Use The Tesoro Brand

If you have a love of history, yet do not want to just sit around reading books or watching documentaries, then a metal detector might be the way to go for you. That might sound like an odd thing to suggest; most people see a metal detector as something to look for coins or a lost watch on the beach. Yet, there are other things you can look for. Depending on where you live in the country, you might find colonial tools or dishes; or maybe you will find a cowboy’s bullets or spurs, or – if you live near a civil war battle site, you might find buttons or coins from a soldier who perished in battle. For some people, making such a discovery is quite the “rush” of excitement! They are uncovering a bit of history. Along with that, there is always the possibility of finding something unique and valuable.

Now, when using a Tesoro metal detector, there are a few things you can do to improve your chances of getting good signals.

1. If you want to search for anything metal, put the detector on “all metal mode” and set the threshold level as low as you can possibly hear it. You want to be able to just barely hear it. That way, you will be able to hear any minute change to the sound. If the item you detect is very small or very deep, the signal could be incredibly faint.

2. If you’re using “discriminate mode”, then boost the threshold level, and this will help with you “target volume”.

3. Finally, if you are searching with no threshold tone at all; this is known as “silent search”, then set the threshold volume at the maximum you can stand. That’ll help you detect any items that are buried very deep.

Make use of these tips, and your hunting will be all the better; enjoy!
